I tested both a VBScript program and a VB6 program on Vista (WSH 5.7) and XP
(WSH 5.6), but could not duplicate the problem. In all cases the GetFile
method raised an error if the file does not exist. I used late binding in

I tested this out, thought I duplicated the problem, and then realize
I made a stupid mistake. So make sure you aren't making this same
mistake. :)
I created 2 new groups on on a Windows 7 box, added myself to them,
and then ran this script against Administrators, test$test, and
$tester groups. All were successful.

Seeing that RoboCopyPlus is a commercial product that requires users to
purchase a licence after the initial trial period, one may wonder if your
post is an advertisment in disguise (=spam), in particular since the
visitors to this newsgroup know about scripting and can easily add the
report filtering and emailing functionality that RoboCopyPlus boasts about.

Hi guys,
Just a hint. If you use RoboCopyPlus ([link]), it wraps around robocopy to add email notification on warnings and errors to it. You can still use all your existing scripts, with the benifit of having email notification. We're using it here all over the place with great success.

Your program is a macro program and, like all macro programs, it is fragile.
You can never be sure that the keystrokes are issued in the right context
and any number of conditions can disturb your plans.

I've been trying with every sample script I can find on the Net, but the
