As I stated above, each of the address book entries contains only a
single email address (which happens to be titled "work") for each
person in the Distribution List.
Unchecking "Use Smart Addresses" in the preferences does cause all of
the addresses to be displayed with both name and address. My

Which you can also tell it not to and are explicity asked if you want
iTunes to do so the very first time you run it. So no, not the same at

other. If you address an email to someone not in your Address Book, it
will most likely show up as <j.random.u...@theiraddress.co m>. If you

I'll bet those people have multiple addreses (e.g. home and work) in the
address book. It displays the address so you can tell which of them was
used.
If you uncheck "Use Smart Addresses" in Preferences->Viewing, the

An example is a message addressed to fourteen different persons, one of

And not all .html is a web application, though the OS asks you anyway.
Thanks for the education regarding the hazards of the internet.
I wanted to double-click html and have Safari load it. *In my opinion*
how it got there, why I clicked it, what time it was, how much I'd had
to eat are irrelevant.

If I send a mail to a number of recipients (including myself) only the
names of the recipients appear in the To list. Placing the cursor over
one of those names will cause the actual email address to be displayed.
When the mail is sent some of the recipients appear as they did when
the mail was sent and some appear with the name followed by the email

It's not irrelevant if you want people to help you. It's not irrelevant
if what you *think* is HTML isn't. In particular, I think Java
applications are identified as web applications, and it is trivial for
malicious things to be done before serving you up a URL. If you're not
going to give exact details, you're unlikely to get useful answers.
